Our "Choose Love" curriculum theme for the first quarter focused on COURAGE and GLO (Generalized Learner Outcomes) award recipients for each class are chosen.

I'm going to have our students get us started here we go we're going to start with our school early today okay so we're going to head and start and McAllen of three with our school only here we go 1 223 all right ladies and gentlemen boys and girls so now we are really excited cuz we have some special guests with us and you can see mr. Tony silver right there Missy 27 where are you joining us from how you guys can you guys hear me you can hear it you can hear can you hear me I need I think we're okay where are you from I didn't hear you yeah it's unmuted on why you can't hear me okay I'm in Chicago I'm getting ready to run the Chicago marathon in honor of my niece this is the Butte beautiful Genovia girl not near Genovia and she was at the Ronald McDonald house before she left us and I'm doing this in memory of her so I'm very proud and I'm just glad that I get to meet some of the kids today awesome thank you for being with us and we also have Miss Dawn O'Brien or other special guests and she is joining us from Honolulu ambassadors and they are going to share with us their kind of famous and special you guys and they're here with us today they taken time out of their busy schedules to be with us and to share a little bit about Choose Love a little bit about courage so we have about 5 Ms special minutes with them we're so happy that you are super superhero staff at Kilauea ballet a song Kawaii and can I get everybody to give me a cheese just like Maui on Moana ready on the count of three one two three I want to see a llama I'm anti Don and this is Uncle Tony Uncle Tony came to your school he loves your school he said you have the best food on Hawaii and today we're going to talk about current did you all learn if you learned about courage this last quarter can you hold your end up really high to the side from really high to the sky like that oh my gosh I see that school with mr. to us about courage thank you so much we really like that now let's take a look at hers what is it and how can we find our courage Greta thunberg a climate activist Change the World by showing people what global warming is really doing tomorrow when she saw that what was wrong she bravely you school time to hold a protest sign to show people what was going on millions of students around the world started protest thing along with her grown up world leaders know they needed to do more to save the world from global warming if you see a problem try to solve it just like Greta thunberg and who knows maybe you will make a huge difference examples of Kurds are standing up for people on there can't stand up for themselves if you see somebody picking on somebody even if you don't know them have courage and stand up to this person you can help a bully by choosing to stop Ali just by asking them they really want to be a boy when you friend tells you to do something wrong like lying cheating and stealing stand up for yourself and choose to do what's the right thing instead be creative and do the right thing during fall break help a friend or do something Brave show that your words matter if you are ever frayed to have Kurt's remember this I can be fierce is aligned and be brave or I can hide from that line in fear like a week mouth with that this means you can choose the higher you can let your opinions actions and ideas matter courage is a away from Fear into no fear on one side you are stuck with fear and once you find courage to walk across you find that there are people who support you the water is filled with people you love and Trust some fly across and I see why buy some support you by holding up the bridge do you don't fall into the river those people could be friends or teachers here at school or even family members as you get to the other side you will see the correct rages and not fearful you have the courage to take the first step and now your cross this moment that we're living in to get up and get to school get going so good on all of you but thanks folks we want a particularly honor for their courage we're going to give you just some examples of why these students are get is a ward just general some ideas some people are getting these with these Awards because they're having courage for using their words more some students are new to our school and they had the courage to show up and Deuce what's a good job with a brand new school some students are having courage award because they're doing the right thing every day and they are being true to themselves so here's the list of kids in mr. Klein's class we have rocky, hilly and Ruby Pomeroy in mitsuka first cousin what was this world will go ahead and give a big round of applause at the end of this of the slide in this Google Hearts class we have Cub Vickie Weldon and another student who be getting their award in class in this Hicks class we have AJ Otero and another student who's getting their award in class you get the class we have Kiara Ramos and Hannah Touhy and Miss Williams class we have out there aginaldo and 900 toriel in this Gibson's class we have Kyma Colonial Park the alley and I'm sorry if I didn't do your name Justice and Celia had Shadow great job guys and finally and Miss Carnell's class we have Tavis and Viva Amador we are so proud of you guys Jesus of the rest okay we have some third through sixth grade Award winner now for courage can Miserables live in Mentor crippled his class he will be getting his Awards in class and mrs. Evans class we have vanilla attics and rock a lot alike in Memphis covered Club Bradenton Jimmy Houlihan missed Oreos class we have North carrozza and Jana Lake country artists in Miss Rebels class we have Jaden I was and who happens to be with us here. a awesome and peanut Yvonne good job in Miss scribbles is class we have siani alon-alon and Justin cortado in mr. kissing his class Eric Hayden and Jane Davis who is also with us here today and finally in mystery book class we have a happy birthday zirin and Nicole Santo Tomas awesome okay right where you're at I know it's been sitting for a while Uncle Tony showed us to get up so what everybody's scared of no nice and her mom and her friends are going to be joining us Nations because they're the truth about every one of you I am intelligent I love who I am me to change the world well and where are the others you're worthy of your patient make my lights Mitsubishi I want to play show me okay boys and girls that was really great I'm sorry there was some little glitches but you know what part of being a winner be able to be flexible and that's what we just said we are flexible weren't we hope you can hear us hope you can see if we do our best and we hope for the rest okay what is a girl so we're going to move run now for our i-Ready Cheeseman Awards K and this is for students in our school who have done an excellent job with their i-Ready this means that they had the most accuracy and they've gotten the greatest amount of less than done okay so let's start from the beginning animal go ahead and give a big round of applause at the end in Memphis to the hardest class we could have convect you know honey Weldon good job, Becky and this is his class Gunner Newman and lets you get the class we have cussed out in mrs. Williams class we have Jay Pittman and mrs. Cornell's class Logan mrs. Gibson kayak up in mrs. Devan Annabelle Bernal in Mr Cupples Lila Smith and mrs. Tori has Kylie Worley and Mr squabbles we have Gwen Kaufman in Miss Randall class we have Nick Pappas in mrs. proposes class good call Justin Noble and Mr Curry kissing his class Robert Boyer and in mr. Rivas class he will give his award in class that just about wraps up we have are caught glowing before we go I think we have some amazing prizes for you but let's give a round of applause for our amazing i-Ready winners before we move on okay so you can see these prices why didn't you see them behind me to go ahead and show them what they're going to get that's it all right there they are all of our exciting and amazing prizes donated to us by our PTA they think you two are amazing PTSA okay let's get this party started and this is the last thing before we sing Our Song and we stay our Aloha can I get the kindergarten please this is kindergarten in kindergarten we have I can't I think that's Kelsey Kelsey and kindergarten you have been caught glowing using the kilos being a self-directed learner Community contributor Funplex Tinker quality producer effective communicator and effective an ethical user of Technology good job Miss Kelsey I don't know who it is we're going to do first grade next first grade first grade we have we have Aaliyah Aaliyah and you got this Jello for being a community contributor for sleeping and cleaning up good job pelea alright in second grade now second grade for being a self-directed learner great job sir proud of you in third grade Cruise Kenny for being a community contributor great job Cruise proud of you Cruise okay I think we have 4th grade math I'm going to happen when you can get your prizes and tomorrow they will be on the stage in the cafeteria next we have to trade Hayden all right and finally last but not least I got a big bag here for 6th grade let's see who's been sixth grade Gianna Dior Rihanna was a community contributor okay our last thing we get to do together today is to sing are amazing.
